We are very excited for you and your 8th grader(s) as they are promoted from middle school this year! Orchard Hills PTO, in collaboration with the Orchard Hills Middle School administration, has organized several special events to celebrate this huge milestone. We are providing this information ahead of time to help you plan and budget for the coming months. Please note that all dates and designated costs are subject to change as details are finalized.

 

(All students must be in good academic and social standing to be eligible to participate)

 

8th Grade T-shirts- Order Deadline January 9th, 2026 (Order Here)

  • The student-designed T-shirt sold for $15 on Membership Toolkit during January.
  • The shirts will list all of the 8th-grade students' names on the back

 

8th Grade Class Photo- Feb. 19th, 2026

  • The students will take an 8th grade class photo in the gym wearing the purchased t-shirt to be displayed in the yearbook

 

Disneyland Trip- May 19, 2026 (Permission Slip Needed)

  • Buses will leave Orchard Hills in the morning around 8:30 AM and return around 7:30 PM.
  • Students CANNOT be dropped off at or picked up from Disneyland. Students must take the bus from and back to school.
  • The cost will be around $136/student for a Disneyland admission ticket and round-trip bus transportation.
  • The transportation cost is $15/student for Magic Key holders Students with an Annual Pass

 

Promotion Ceremony- May 21st, 2026 6:00 PM (QUAD)

  • The Promotion Ceremony will begin at 6PM, doors open at 5:30 PM.
  • Each student will receive 4 admission tickets for family members to attend the promotion ceremony. A limited opportunity to upgrade these four tickets to a VIP section will be available in the Spring.
  • Each family member must have a ticket to enter the promotion ceremony in the middle school quad.

 

Promotion Party- May 28th, 2026, 6:00-8:00 PM (Permission Slip Needed) (NPR)

  • The cost is $45 per student, which will include dinner, desserts, DJ, photo booth, games, etc. This will be a fun night for the students to celebrate with their friends.
  • Students CANNOT leave until 8PM once they enter the doors for the party.
  • This is not a formal event. Attending students must follow all dress code guidelines which are outlined in the Orchard Hills Code of Conduct.

 

Yearbook Signing Party- May 28th, 2026 (During NEST)
